So what's the deal with the Mexico Racing League stuff? Isn't is just the generic thing people say when they don't want to disclose the location due to jurisdictions and all?

Correct about the Mexico thing.
MRL started off as a joke. Bunch of guys would go out on a country two lane road (you can see for miles around) and do some runs. Started videos as you mentioned with disclaimers of “Filmed in Mexico.” So then people would say, wanna go to Mexico for some runs? Became such a common occurrence of guys “Going to Mexico” like a junior league sporting event on the weekend that Mexico Racing League was born as an inside joke where we printed up a few t-shirts for the local group and things expanded from there.
It’s not actually some racing organizer, just media coverage of racing that happens.

Ah okay, thanks for the clarification!
I’d seen it mentioned and drawn my own conclusions but wasn’t sure if there was a specific ‘group’ that it was typically referring to.
